'Jiyoni', or 'bringing back from the dead', is the last act of the day-long ritual performance of 'Shaone Dala', when the victorious Behula brings back to life her hapless husband, Lokkhinder', bitten to death by the snake goddess Manasa. Â This ritual was observed on the Elenga River in Tangail, in 2015.
