'Jiyoni', or 'bringing back from the dead', is the last act of the day-long ritual performance of 'Shaone Dala', when the victorious Behula brings back to life her hapless husband, Lokkhinder', bitten to death by the snake goddess Manasa. This ritual was observed on the Elenga River in Tangail, in 2015.
