Lights Shadows Rhythm - Shadhona's journey on celluloid
Shadhona started its journey more than two decades ago. Our focus has been the arts and artistes, both urban and rural: creating art; training artistes and researching the arts. But mostly we have danced - experimenting with dance, producing dance and showcasing the best of dance. A legion of dancers has put in their heart, soul and sweat to bringing amazing productions before audiences. We have, also, worked with amazing artistes from many parts of the world.
And, all through the years some brilliant photographers captured our joys, sorrows and successes in images painted with lights and shadows. It gave our work another dimension. We would, now, like to share these, with one and all.
On the other hand, these images record a history of creativity, worth acknowledgement. We do hope young researchers of cultural practices will take note of this rich archive of photographs and video recordings.
In association with Curator Amirul Rajiv this exhibition has been designed by Studio Biporit.
Internationally renowned photographer Anwar Hossain has kindly agreed to inaugurate the event.
This event is open to all.
